Week 4 is already done and I can't believe it's been a month since I've started! It feels good to get back up to 9 miles which I haven't done since December at the Holiday Half Marathon in Portland.
Still bouncing around though with good runs and bad, I can't wait for some consistency and to stop making rookie mistakes!
My 9 mile run was so bad. And after a good 3,4,3 mile runs I thought it would go good but nope! Which it was my mistake.
Mistake number 1: I put it off. I took Stout out for a walk then went grocery shopping before my run. So it was hot and sunny when I went.
Mistake 2: I didn't wear compression socks. I'm probe to bad shin splints and cramping at it was dumb to not wear them.
Mistake 3: didn't wear sunscreen.
Although it was bad and I had to walk, I noticed my hands swelling so bad I could hardly move them, they looked like gloves! I was kinda scared! And when I tried to run again waves would go up and down my body, I thought I was going to pass out. And I had the worst dry mouth! I have never experienced that before.
But next week is another week :)
