I don't know if the intensity of this situation has hit me yet but I did it!
I asked local Michiganers what they recommended for a first Marathon in the fall, October seemed like the perfect month to me. Not too hot, not too cold and with the spring/summer to train. I wanted to give myself a couple months to adjust to moving to our new place in Michigan and I need to get a job! Running and training can cost extra especially with buying shoes and fuel.
I haven't been blogging at all lately! This whole moving has taken allot out of us (financially, physically, emotionally...financially) And my running has taken a break too, the longest in a year! I don't think I ran or worked out since the Holiday Half in Portland!! Almost a month, probably 3 weeks.
But i'm really glad we got a GREAT gym membership!!!
This gym has great Yoga classes! I'm in love. And the cardio equipment is clean and new! The weights are also great!! Mike and I are very happy here.
I still haven't met up with a running club yet, we came here the day before the snow storm. And shopping to equip or place has taken up allot of time/energy. I still really want to join the YPOM (your pace or mine) group and make some friends! I was kinda thinking of doing a St. Patricks day race...but I want to run w a group to do that. I found a good one in Detroit but its Detroit.....
I have literally been huddling by our radiator heater and just ogling over all the Run Disney events happening this month. the WDW marathon weekend with people doing challenges and then the Tinkerbell Half! So that's been keeping me really jealous and also wanting to get my butt in gear! I keep texting Brandi telling her we gotta do these races!!!!!!! Still thinking about the Princess half 2015!
